जम्मू-कश्मीर की पंचायतों के 48 नव-निर्वाचित सरपंचों ने आज नई दिल्ली में प्रधानमंत्री से मुलाकात की। सरपंचों के शिष्टमंडल का नेतृत्व ऑल जम्मू एंड कश्मीर पंचायत कांफ्रेंस के अध्यक्ष शफीक मीर ने किया।
शिष्टमंडल ने प्रधानमंत्री की सराहना की कि उन्होंने जम्मू–कश्मीर में पंचायतों के चुनाव सफल और शांतिपूर्ण ढंग से सम्पन्न करा कर स्थानीय स्वशासन की संस्थाओं को अधिकार संपन्न बनाया। उन्होंने हाल में संपन्न पंचायत चुनावों में महिलाओं की भागीदारी की भी सराहना की।
